Braille Letters
L-Mail prints and posts Braille letters
from two locations around the world, locations can change over time please only select stations that state they are braille:
- New Zealand (servicing the Asia Pacific region)
- United Kingdom (servicing the European region)
Users can simply type their letter, select the Braille printing
location of their choice, make their payment and L-Mail will
print and post the letter within 24 hours of receipt (Monday
to Friday) encoded in Braille. Pages are embossed double-sided
(known as Interpoint Braille).
We carefully lay out the text, using centered titles and blank
lines to make it a breeze to read the Braille copy. The final
step is to emboss the document using quality 100-pound stock
paper, this is many times the thickness of paper found in the
Stationary store.
As standard we encode Braille using the Grade 2 (Contracted)
format. However, for a small additional payment, we can encode
Grade 1 (Uncontracted) Braille which is ideal for readers new
to the Braille format.
L-Mail recently launched an Integration Account which enables
online systems to automate the production of standard letters.
The Integration Account can also be used to generate Braille
letters.
Braille letters, depending on location and exchange rate, cost
around £5.00 each.
